  2. -- 'Personal' views on slave-countries --
  3. Realistically, why should we care where our clothes/products come from?
  4. The answer; we shouldn't.
  5.
  6. Although we may think we feel sorry for 'less fortunate' countries.. We need to know the true facts before deciding our emotions.
  7. If we were to truly know what would happen if we stopped mass-importing products from China, we would know why it is unfeasable, and not better for us to do it.
  8. If Australia made all of its products itself, the costs of things would be sky-high. You would be paying $100 for one tee-shirt, and we would have more world-poverty than before. At least now the people working get atleast SOMETHING. The pros and cons of doing this, is uncalculable. The implications could be the end of the world.
  9.
  10. Not only is the problem(s) of people in China, or any other coutries not our problem, but it also isn't our responibility to fix it.
  11. Why should it be? There is no logical reason as to why it should be. It doesn't affect us?
  12.
  13.
  14. An argument used by a lot of narrow-minded people is that it's basicially slavery.
  15. But the problem is, is that throughout the ages, people and animals have used living things as slaves. Whether it be 'useless niggers'[sic] in England, or monkeys using lower-class monkeys. We also use slavery by using electricity. When you actually know the facts, it's quite clear that we still use slavery to this day, but we don't call it that. We call it 'working'. Which in reality, is no different than outsourcing our work to China.
  16.
  17.
  18. In the world, we are only promised two things; Death and taxes. We are not promised a 'good' life, we are not promised work, we are not promised money. If an asian worker is assigned to do something, tough luck. They can either do it, or kill themselves. If they do the latter, nothing of value will be lost.
  19.
  20. The general populus shouldn't be to blame, as it is not their problem. They are literally fed things by the government, to do things. If you want somebody to blame, blame the government.
  21.

  25. -- Views on giving 'support' to general 3rd world countries --
  26.
  27. In todays society, it appears to be a 'un-written rule', that if you aren't in support of funding for a third world country, then you're considered either stupid, or racist, or both. But in reality, it's the other way around.
  28.
  29. An example of this phenomenon, is that if you say you don't support sending money to Uganda. You'll be persercuated, because your views differ from the norm, and because people don't realize emotions are subjective.
  30.
  31. One of the main aspects of donating to a third world country, i.e; Uganda, is because that is the 'current place' to donate to. If Uganda dissapeared without a trace for some reason, it wouldn't matter. Nothing would be lost. It's only interesting, because something is happening. It's like car racing; If their was no possiblity of crashing/injury, then nobody would watch it.
  32.
  33. So why should I pay for aids-infested people to live? Wouldn't it be a public service to NOT feed them? Most, if not all, of their problems have been caused by the white man. Giving them money and food will not solve anything. Espectially when it is near-impossible to actually distribute it evenly. Corruption is throughout the world. It is near-impossible to end. It's also worth nothing that before 'white man' came along, these societys lived perfectally fine. And we expect a global governce to fix this, which comprise of the 'white man'? -- (Ignorant statement: But who else?) -- How about the same people that took care of the planet, until we came along?
  34. Nearly everybody will deny the above, but it's the undeniable truth. The amount of people that are TRUELY concerned about thir world countries is drastically lower than the amount of people that publically claim it.
  35.
  36. Generally, one may think, "Okay, so it's the whitemans fault. That's why we should help"... But although it _WAS_ whitemans fault, it is no longer. It is not the fault of the 20th-21st centuray people, and not the responsiblity. Shouldn't we rather work towards a sustainable world, in the world we have created, and ways for the same thing not to again, rather than trying to change the past? -- The past has shaped the future. For the better or for the worse? Well, that's up to us to decide... Can a society that can enforce all its laws ever progress?
  37.
  38. It's dispicable. Not the fact that not many people care, but the fact that they are forced to privitize their real opinions. Expression is no longer free.
  39. We do not live in a democracy anymore. We live in fascist, small-minded, media-ocracy. If we really wanted to save the earth and its contents, we would rid the world of humans, and start over.
  40.
  41.
  42. After-thoughts:
  43. Anybody thinking that everybody should donate to third world countries is extremely ignorant.
  44. There is no solution to the problem, as it has already been done. The only thing we can do, is learn from our past, and try to avoid it from happening again.
  45.
  46.
  47. Although we might think humans are the smartest species, when factoring in certain things, we are actually one of the stupidest.
  48.
  49.
  50. Vote Wikileaks.
  51.
  52. "There's a country called America
  53. And it's a world of dread and fear
  54. Where the only water flowing is a bitter sting of tears
  55. And the only bells that ring there are the clanging chimes of doom
  56. Well tonight thank God it's them instead of you
  57. And there'll be no rights in America this Christmas time
  58. The greatest gift they'll get this year is lies
  59. Where nothing ever grows
  60. except the GMOs
  61. Do they know it's Christmas time at all?"
